During its transformation, this one began to resemble a hidden cove glimpsed through clear coastal water. Pools of turquoise verdigris gathered beneath warm gold and olive tones, creating the impression of sunlight filtering through water onto the rocks below.

The Copperologist was reminded of those sheltered corners of the coastline that reveal themselves only to those willing to wander a little further. The places that never appear in guidebooks yet become the places people remember most. Like all worthwhile discoveries, the effect was entirely unplanned. Chemistry, heat, patience and chance collaborated to create something that could never be recreated exactly.

This one-of-a-kind copper art necklace was preserved at precisely the right moment, before the surface continued its transformation and became something else entirely.
