Returns & Refunds Policy
Every Copperologist specimen is individually created. Once completed, no specimen is ever recreated. If something isn't quite right, however, I want to make the process as straightforward as possible.
Returns
You have 14 days after receiving your order to request a return. Once your return has been authorised, you must send the specimen back within the following 14 days.
Specimens may be carefully examined and tried on as they might be in a shop, but must not be worn beyond this. They must be returned in their original condition, with all presentation materials and packaging in perfect condition. If a specimen shows evidence of wear, damage or handling beyond what was reasonably necessary to examine it, a deduction may be made from the refund to reflect any reduction in its value.
This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
To be eligible for a refund, your specimen must be returned:
- Unworn and unused.
- In its original condition.
- With the collector's drawer, specimen card and all original presentation materials in perfect unworn condition.
- With proof of purchase.
To request a return, please email greetings@thecopperologist.com.
Once your return has been authorised, I'll send you instructions explaining how to return your order.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your parcel as soon as it arrives.
If your specimen arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact me as soon as possible at greetings@thecopperologist.com with photographs and, ideally, a video. I'll investigate the issue and work with you to make things right.
Please keep all original packaging until we've been able to assess the issue, as it may be needed if a claim has to be made with the delivery provider.
One-of-a-Kind Specimens
Every Copperologist specimen is entirely unique.
Because no two specimens are ever alike, exchanges are usually not possible. If you would prefer a different specimen, you may return your original purchase (provided it meets the return conditions above) and place a new order for any available specimen of an equivalent value.
Once a specimen has been collected by another collector, it is no longer available.
Commissions and Personalised Work
Commissioned or personalised pieces are created specifically for you and cannot normally be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty, or where your statutory consumer rights apply.
Sale Items
Sale items and gift cards cannot normally be returned unless required by law.
European Union Customers
If your order is delivered within the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
Returned items must be unused, in their original condition and include all original presentation materials.
Refunds
Once your return has been received and inspected, you'll be notified whether your refund has been approved.
If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take several business days for the funds to appear in your account.
If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please contact greetings@thecopperologist.com and I'll be happy to investigate.
Customers are responsible for the cost of returning change-of-mind purchases. If an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, reasonable return postage costs will be covered by The Copperologist.
