Breaking Shore

All jewellery by The Copperologist begins with genuine copper. It is transformed by verdigris and flame, sealed with a protective anti-tarnish coating, and then preserved between glass and stainless steel. This anti-tarnish double sealing process protects the copper pendant from the air that causes tarnishing and colour changes.

Breaking Shore is a handmade copper pendant necklace, where turquoise and teal break across flashes of orange like waves striking a dark shoreline. Held beneath glass in a hypoallergenic stainless steel setting, its contrasting colours shift with every movement of the light.

Only one exists. Once it is claimed, it is gone forever.

Made to stay beautiful: Genuine copper is first sealed then doubly-protected beneath glass in a hypoallergenic stainless-steel setting.

Wear Breaking Shore against a chocolate-brown shirt, over an ecru crew-neck, or with dark indigo denim. The deep brown makes its turquoise look electric, while ecru and indigo bring a more relaxed coastal character to its flashes of blue and orange.

No. Every Copperologist pendant is individually created by hand by The Copperologist. Verdigris and flame form differently every time, so this exact pendant will exist only once. Once it is collected, it will never be recreated. It will be yours, and yours alone.

Returns

I want you to be delighted with your new acquisition, so if something is not quite right, please request a return within 14 days of receiving it.

Please return it unworn, in its original condition, with its wooden drawer, provenance card and presentation materials.

Returned acquisitions must be unworn. The Copperologist has certain methods of testing this, which are best left shrouded in mystery.

The copper itself needs no polishing. It is trapped between glass and stainless steel to protect it from the air that causes tarnishing.

Keep your pendant dry. Do not wear it for swimming, exercising or in the shower in case water or perspiration get into the setting.

Give the pendant a gentle wipe with a microfibre cloth now and then to retain its shine. Store it in its wooden drawer when it is not being worn.
