During its transformation, this one developed layers of deep azure verdigris, pale seafoam tones and darker currents beneath the surface. The result brought to mind long days offshore, when sea and sky merge into a single expanse and the water stretches beyond sight in every direction.

The Copperologist was reminded of standing on the deck of a small boat far from shore, watching sunlight move across deep water while shifting colours appeared beneath the surface. As the pendant catches the light, tiny reflective details glimmer across its surface, recalling sunlight sparkling on the sea beyond the horizon. Like all worthwhile discoveries, the effect was entirely unplanned. Chemistry, heat, patience and chance collaborated to create something that could never be recreated exactly.

This one-of-a-kind copper art necklace was preserved at precisely the right moment, before the surface continued its transformation and became something else entirely.
